Wingfoil Long Distance Racing
The racing taking place each weekend will be open to all abilities where we will be working with Tauranga Yacht Club to create a race which is suitable and safe. The ideal race will be from Mt Maunganui main beach to Papamoa (downwinder) but if we have a suitable onshore or offshore wind we will race to Papamoa and back.
If conditions are not suitable we might look at doing some races from Pilot bay, however this will only be if we cannot launch riders from the beach.
Athlete Rash Shirts
As part of Waterbourne, athletes will be able to get an event rash shirt if they are in the first 30 entered. These rash shirts will be the same as what the GWA World Cup athletes will be wearing. You can see what our paddle boarding rash shirts looked like last year.
Win Flights to Hawaii thanks to Hawaiian Airlines
Thanks to the team at Hawaiian Airlines, we have flights to Hawaii up to the value of 200,000 Hawaii Miles to give away to entrants in the wingfoiling. Whether you are wanting to enter to race, or just have a fun weekend away, get registered now to go in the draw.
Live Music & more
Alongside the wingfoil racing, Waterbourne will also have live music on the beach with a range of activities for the kids to enjoy. Both Tip Top Ice Cream & One NZ will have some exciting prizes to giveaway, where Armstrong foils will also have a range of gear and equipment to try and see on the beach.
